I Love Bacteria - Culturelle® That is - T-shirt Giveaway

I love Bacteria! I really do but I Love the Good kind like Culturelle®.

Culturelle® sent me their Digestive Health 30-count for a review and graciously donated 2 of their I Love Bacteria T-shirts (S,M,L) to be given away. The Digestive Health is taken when you have an upset stomach or are traveling. On Tuesday I was suffering from an upset stomach and began taking the supplement (1 pill/day) and was actually surprised that my upset stomach within 6 hours was better and I was not having to go to the restroom as often. I am continuing the pills for two more days to ensure that the good bacteria is back in place in my stomach.

Culturelle® is the only probiotic dietary supplement containing Lactobacillus GG, the ³good² bacteria strain used to restore and maintain a healthy balance in the digestive system.

Culturelle® is all-natural, and does not contain any wheat or gluten. There are trace amounts of dairy proteins (less than 15 ppm in each capsule), but it is also available in a dairy-free formula. That is the formula I use.

Culturelle® Products are as follows:
Natural Health and Wellness 30-count
Culturelle for Kids
Digestive Health 30-count
Dairy-Free Natural Health and Wellness -30 count

Culturelle is the most researched and clinically proven probiotic supplement on the market. Lactobacillus GG, which is only found in supplement form in Culturelle, is the subject of more over 400 clinical reports and studies, making it the mostly widely researched strain of probiotic in the world proving its safety and efficacy.

Culturelle works to help promote overall digestive and immune health. Diet, stress, travel and even some medications encourage bad bacteria to flourish in your intestinal tract. When bad bacteria outnumber good bacteria, your digestive and overall health is open to a host of potential concerns. Culturelle, with Lactobacillus GG, safely and naturally replaces the bad bacteria in your digestive tract with good bacteria leading to healthier digestion and a stronger immune system.

Unlike most-probiotic-fortified foods, Culturelle gets to where health benefits are needed the most! The Lactobacillus GG found in Culturelle is one of the few probiotics that survives the strong acids of the stomach and intestines and then has the ability to colonize the intestinal tract (where 70% of the immune system resides).

Not all probiotic supplements are created equal. The amount of live bacteria listed on many probiotic labels is often the number of bacteria at the time of manufacture, not use. Culturelle, however is manufactured with at least 30 billion live cells with at least 10 billion guaranteed at time of usage. This is about 10 times the amount of probiotic bacteria found in
many yogurts (and without the additional sugar or calories).

Halls Refresh - Review

When Halls contacted me with an opportunity to review the new Halls Refresh, I eagerly agreed. How did they know that I constantly used hard candy to keep my mouth moistened? It's not for Colds/sore throats or a cough drop but more like a hard candy but not as sugary (which I like).

I opened the package to find two different flavors of the Halls Refresh, Tropical Wave and Juicy Strawberry to be reviewed.

The first flavor I tried was the Tropical Wave. I was expecting a sugary "whang" that would pucker your mouth, what I received was a tropical flavor that was very refreshing and mouth watering without being sugary sweet. My mouth was instantly refreshed and moistened and the refresh was not too big or too small but just the right size. I'm not sure I could distinguish a distinct tropical flavor but it was very good. I was impressed with how well it moistened my mouth. I get dry mouth frequently and am constantly searching for a piece of hard candy. Now, I can use these Halls Refresh to moisten my mouth and not worry about the sugar as much as I had to with the Hard Candy.

The next flavor I tried was the Juicy Strawberry and juicy would be the correct word for this prodcut. By far this is my favorite flavor - not to strong just the right amount of strawberry. It is almost instantly that your mouth becomes moistened and refreshed from these little jewels.

I gave some to a couple of the girls in my office and now they are coming to me for a refresh instead of hard candy.

Here are some interesting facts about the Halls Refresh:

* HALLS Refresh™ is a brand new Mouth Moistening product with Advanced Moisture Action™ * Not a cough drop; actually moistens your mouth!
* Look for HALLS Refresh™ where you find HALLS®
* Available in 9-piece sticks and 20-count re-sealable bag
* Only 6 calories and 3 grams of carbohydrates per drop
Sugar free product. For more information, visit gethalls.com or call the number on the product (1-800-524-2854). Please consult your doctor for individual needs

Check out Halls website or their Facebook page and the Refresh flavors available - I recommend both flavors (Tropical Wave or Juicy Strawberry) they are both good! VISIT the Halls website here or check out the Halls Facebook page!

* HALLS® products may be used by adults and children 5 years and over. For
children under 5 years, ask a doctor.

Disclosure: Please note that Halls contacted me to participate in a review of their new Halls Refreshers in these two new flavors. They provided me with two flavors to try and review. The opinions given in this review are my opinions regarding the product in review.

Trident Layers – My new favorite Gum

When Trident contacted me with an opportunity to review the new Trident Layers gum, I jumped at the chance. How did they know that I was a gum aficionado?

What is Trident Layers? Trident Layers is made with real fruit flavor for an unbelievable taste experience! It has three distinct and visible colored layers that make itas great tasting as it is fun to look at. There is no other gum like it!

I have a friend who loves gum and we compare gum like some compare restaurants. We had discussed the new Trident Layers but neither of us had tried it.

I received the package in the mail on Friday. There was a wonderful fragrance wafting from the package which made my taste buds flitter.

I opened the package to find two different flavors of the Trident Layers. Wild Strawberry + Tangy Citrus and Green Apple + Golden Pineapple were the two flavors Trident wanted me to review.

I carefully opened the Wild Strawberry + Tangy Citrus, the piece is the same size as a normal Trident piece but THICKER! Like a wine enthusiast I sniffed the piece taking in the full bouquet of fragrance. I then carefully placed the gum on my tongue and if sparks could have flew they would have flew as the flavor immediately started to take over. I first tasted the Tangy Citrus of orange and then wait, what was that tease flavor, yes, there it is Wild Strawberry! You would not think these two distinct flavors would work but they complement each other well. I also judge gum by how long the flavor lasts and I am happy to report that this gum has some staying power!

Next to be reviewed was the Green Apple + Golden Pineapple Trident Layers. The piece is the same size but thicker than a normal Trident gum piece. I sniffed the piece and the bouquet made my taste buds scream! I placed the piece on my tongue and immediately knew that this was going to be my favorite flavor. The Golden Pineapple flavor was delish and then all of a sudden the Green Apple flavor hit. I loved how the two flavors were distinct at first and then melded together. The flavor in this gum also had staying power which is a big plus on my list.

By far the Green Apple + Golden Pineapple Trident Layers gum was my favorite flavor. They both were good but I loved the Green Apple + Golden Pineapple the best. In addition, I love the bouquet of scent that waft from the packs! My desk area never smelled so good!

Visit Trident at http://www.tridentgum.com/ for more information about Trident Layers and their other products.

Click here for a $.75 off Coupon.

I would definitely, unequivocally, recommend this gum to anyone looking for a good, flavorful gum with staying power!

Disclosure: Please note that Trident contacted me to participate in a review of their new Trident Layers Gum in these two new flavors. They provided me with two flavors to try and review. The opinions given in this review are my opinions regarding the product in review.

Diane Birch - Check her out!

Just bringing this one back up - take a listen and I know you will absolutely fall in love with her voice and music.

I received a CD to review and I was skeptical at first because of the title of CD – Bible Belt and how young Diane Birch looked on the front of the CD. Looks are deceiving and I was pleasantly surprised at what I heard.

If you like the Blues, Folk, Gospel, pop, with a little country twang thrown in then you will love this CD like I do!

I love the songs Fire Escape and Rise Up - they have a great beat and you can really get into the songs. She has definitely created a style that works! Reminds me of some of the music my parents listened to when I was young.

Her voice reminds me of Carly Simon, Nora Jones and Joss Stone with some Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland thrown in for good measure.

I played this at work and so many people were stopping me to ask who that was I had playing.

Thanks Diane for some great music that brings back good memories!

Want to get your own CD - check out Amazon.com.

I know you will love this CD just like I did and fall in love with Diane's voice and music - reminds me of the 60's and 70's growing up and listening to the music that my Mom and Dad played.
