October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Raging Bear Ranch wants to do all we can to raise the awareness. When MyBlogSpark approached me about working with them, General Mills® and PinkTogether.com to help raise this awareness I jumped at the chance.

What is PinkTogether.com you ask? PinkTogether.com is an online community on MySpace where those touched by breast cancer can connect and provide support, comfort, and encouragement to one another by sharing stories, comments and sending Virtual Flower Bouquets. If you have not been to their site please go out and have a look around. This site is supportive of all who are affected by breast cancer and you can leave messages of support and hope so they know that they are not battling this disease alone.

To encourage personal connections in the online community, General Mills will donate $1 (up to $20,000) to Komen for each inspirational story submitted, encouraging comment posted, or virtual flower of support sent on PinkTogether.com, and for each shared message of hope posted on Pink Together’s Facebook fan page during the month of October (up to $5,000). This $25,000 is in addition to the $2 million donation General Mills has committed to Komen to advance breast cancer research and support education and community outreach projects.

Raging Bear Ranch is asking all of our readers to help us spread the word about this important program. I am dedicating this giveaway to the memory of my Nannie Pauline & Grandma Nash who were and still are two of the bravest women I know, memory of all the brave warriors who lost the battle, like my friend Julie, to all the brave men and women who are currently fighting breast Cancer, to the families of breast cancer patients and to the Survivors, like my friend Barb, you are my heroes.
